Starbucks Bans Smoking From Outdoor Seating Area

The Forsyth County TRU Youth Advisory Council recognized four local Winston Salem Starbucks in honor of their outdoor smoking ban that took affect on June 1, 2013. The ban limits smoking within 25 feet of the storefront, including the outside patio. Lindsey Lail, Forsyth County TRU Coordinator, and the youth president, Martin Hernandez visited Starbucks stores on Hanes Mall Boulevard, Stratford Road, Mt. Tabor Place, and Jonestown Road and presented each with a thank you card and gift to show the community’s appreciation for a smoke free environment.
