Media Review Committee Needs Volunteers

The Forsyth County Department of Public Health is currently looking for community members to serve on its Media Review Committee. The purpose of the Media Review Committee (MRC) is to review and approve the educational materials made available to clients in the health department’s Family Planning Clinic and teen pregnancy- and STI- prevention programs.

We are looking for members to represent:

• The medical community
• Teachers and/or school personnel
• Organizations dealing with minority issues
• Bilingual English & Spanish speakers and
• Teens ages 15-19

Our goal is to create a committee that reflects the diverse community that the Forsyth County Department of Public Health serves.

The MRC meets quarterly at the health department and all meetings are held from 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Upcoming MRC meetings will be held on the following dates:

• January 22, 2014
• April 23, 2014
• July 23, 2014
• October 22, 2014
