,p>It’s easy to eat more vegetables! Check out some of these great tips to make half of your plate fruits and vegetables. Eating vegetables is important because they provide vitamins and minerals and most are low in calories. Vegetables are good fresh, frozen, or canned. Buy fresh vegetables that are in season for maximum flavor at low cost. Frozen vegetables are quick and easy to use and are just as nutritious as fresh ones. You can stock up on vegetables by getting those in the can. Canned vegetables are a great addition to any meal, so keep canned tomatoes, kidney beans, mushrooms, and beets on hand. Be sure to check the label for “reduced sodium,” “low sodium,” or no salt added.”
