Do You Have a Child Entering Kindergarten?

If you have a child entering Kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year NC law requires that they get a health physical on or before September 24th or they will be suspended from school until proof of a health assessment is provided.

Kindergarten Health Assessments and Well-Check Visits for school-aged children are available on the Mobile Health Clinic (Wellness Wednesdays) for the following dates and locations from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm:

July 15 Forest Park Elementary School
July 22 Old Town Elementary School
July 29 Walkertown Elementary School
July 30 Newcomer Center
August 5 Hall-Woodward Elementary School
August 12 Griffith Elementary School

Kindergarten Health Assessments and Well-Check Visits are also available all summer long at the Bulldog Health Center at Mineral Springs Elementary School.

NC law also requires Tdap and Meningitis vaccine for all students entering 7th grade. Immunizations are available at either the Bulldog Health Center at Mineral Springs Elementary (703-4273) or the Health Department (703-3100).
