Container Gardening Workshop to be held Sept 6

Container Gardening Workshop + Cooking Demonstration
Thursday, September 6, 12:00-1:00 pm
Malloy/Jordan Library (1110 East 7th St., Winston-Salem NC 27101)
No registration is required. To request Spanish interpretation, please call 336-705-8823 by August 29.

Come learn to grow vegetables and herbs in containers! We will discuss container and plant selection, growing media, planting calendars, and how to water and fertilize your container garden for an abundant harvest. Then we’ll enjoy a cooking demonstration using herbs that can be grown in containers.

For those interested in gardening on a larger scale, we will share resources for getting started with a home or community garden. A tour of the garden behind the Public Health building will follow the workshop.
