The Forsyth County Department of Public Health has opened up COVID-19 vaccination appointments for next week at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Education Building for anyone age 16 or older.
Vaccinations are free and no ID or insurance is needed. Appointments are available online at Bit.Ly/FCNCCovidVaccine or by calling 336-360-5260 from 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. First dose appointments will be held at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, 414 Deacon Blvd, through May 4. Starting on May 6, first dose appointments will be held at Forsyth County Department of Public Health, 799 N. Highland Ave. The vaccination site that an individual received their first dose is where they’ll return for their second dose.
Vaccination hours will be Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. At the health department, they’ll be Thursday 4-8 p.m. and next Saturday 9 a.m. - noon. Walk-ups will be welcome at both locations up to one hour before the vaccine clinic closes. Vaccinations are free and no ID or insurance is needed.
The two-dose Pfizer vaccines will be administered at the appointments. Second dose appointments will be scheduled onsite after vaccination.
