Forsyth County Department of Public Health is offering a variety of opportunities to get vaccinated, including before Winston-Salem Dash’s game on Tuesday, where attendees can get a discounted ticket with free hot dogs.
COVID-19 vaccination will be available at Truist Stadium, 3 p.m.-7:15 p.m., on Tuesday, May 25, when the Dash will play the Hickory Crawdads at 7 p.m. Those who register for an appointment will receive a discount on a ticket for that evening’s game, which includes free hotdogs. Appointments are available at Bit.ly/DashVaccine or 336-714-2287.
Additionally, there will be a walk-up community vaccination event held at William C. Sims Recreation Center, 1256 Alder Street, from 9 a.m.- noon on Wednesday, May 26.
COVID-19 vaccination appointments continue to be held at the Public Health Department, 799 N. Highland Avenue, on Tuesday 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Appointments are available at Bit.Ly/FCNCCovidVaccine or by calling 336-360-5260 from 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Mon.-Fri. There will be no vaccinations next Saturday because of the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Walk ups are also taken at the Public Health Department during immunization clinic hours, which are Mon-Wed. 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thurs. 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Fri. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The clinic is closed for lunch from noon-1 p.m. Mon-Thurs.
Vaccinations are free and no ID or insurance is needed. The single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine, for ages 18 and up, will be an option while supplies last. The two-dose Pfizer vaccine, for ages 12 and up, is also currently available.
