The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is currently accepting appointments for in-person assistance with new applications and document uploads to existing applications for rental assistance beginning on Monday, June 21.
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) assists low-income residents who are behind on their rent or utilities payments because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In person appointments should be scheduled at https://ERAPappointments.as.me/. Appointments will take place at 741 Highland Avenue, Winston-Salem and will be available during normal business hours, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., except for holidays.
ERAP is open to all renters residing in Forsyth County who have a household income 80% or less of area median income and have been financially impacted by COVID-19. The program is for renters only and provides assistance with rent and utilities, including electricity, water/sewer, trash removal, natural gas, propane, fuel oil and internet.
