We are pleased to announce the next 12-week course for the Wellness Produce Box Program!
We hope you will join us every Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. starting January 18, 2024. The course is limited to 25 participants and will include hands-on cooking classes that will focus on preparing and cooking recipes using local ingredients from farmers in the Forsyth County area. Participants will receive a bi-weekly produce box with ingredients from local farmers. In combination with the cooking classes, participants will be given general nutrition information as well as an exercise component to the course.
The goal of the course is to promote the health and general well-being for those involved while promoting the consumption and production of local produce in our community.
Classes will be held at:
N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center
1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105
You can apply online by January 12, 2024. Applicants will be notified no later than the end of the day on January 15th, 2024 if they have been accepted to the program.
