April Detention Staff Member of the Month

Officer Xitlali Marcial-Avila has been selected as our Detention Staff Member of the Month for her outstanding performance and dedication to the classification division at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. Officer Marcial-Avila is a dedicated professional. She is assigned as the Classification Case Manager for 6 South Housing Unit and our Special Care Housing Unit. These are two dynamic areas demanding and require the highest level of attentiveness. She manages the proper classification of all female inmates and the Special Care Housing Unit inmates, separating them according to the safety and security needs of the facility, inmate custody, and program needs. Officer Marcial-Avila met this challenge head-on, managing both areas proficiently and professionally. She is often called on to translate for the Spanish speaking inmates in the facility. Officer Marcial-Avila’s work ethic shines through as she handles a wide variety of tasks. She is a consummate professional and a true team player; we are incredibly fortunate to have her in our agency.
