Deputy Elijah East has been selected as the Enforcement Staff Member of the Month for his outstanding performance on April 15, 2026, while assigned as a School Resource Officer at Robert B. Glenn High School. At approximately 1043 hours, Deputy East responded to a reported fight near the 800 building involving an injured student. Upon learning the injured student had left campus, Deputy East quickly gathered information and tracked the involved parties to a nearby business, Sheetz. Upon arrival, Deputy East encountered multiple students engaged in disorderly behavior and actively attempting to continue the altercation. He immediately took control by detaining one individual, restoring order, and ensuring the safety of those present while coordinating medical response. Deputy East conducted a thorough investigation, identifying all involved parties, gathering statements, and reviewing surveillance footage. His efforts supported the filing of appropriate charges, including a felony offense. Deputy East’s quick response, strong decision-making, and attention to detail helped bring the situation under control and likely prevented further serious injury. His actions reflect great credit upon himself, the School Resource Officer Division, and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
