Synopsis and Discussion

Air quality levels have returned to the GREEN range Wednesday as heavy rain fell throughout the region Tuesday night and slowly moved east this morning. The rain helped cleanse the air and northerly winds were clean enough to improve AQI readings. Thursday should produce a run for Ozone into the upper GREEN range as skies become clear and winds drop off to calm for most of the day. This will cause Ozone readings to peak right at the GREEN/YELLOW border before pushing into the YELLOW range Friday. Firework celebrations for the 4th of July (Friday) will cause localized peaks of Particle Pollution so be advised if you are sensitive in those condition. (Bodenhamer)
