Forsyth County Parks and Recreation takes a hands-off approach with recreation programming by providing facilities, amenities, and park space for a number of various activities mostly organized and run by dedicated members of our community. Many of our parks have a variety of recreation facilities including volleyball courts, tennis courts, softball fields, soccer fields, horseshoe pits, trails, and even pedal boats. To see what each park offers, simply select a park from the Parks dropdown menu above and find out more!

Trails

If you are looking for a more natural or off-road experience, then come to any of our parks and enjoy the wide array of trails! Joanie Moser Memorial Park

Senior men's softball teams begin in April and run through October. These teams are not organized nor run by the County. For team representative contact information, please use the Contact Us from on the right-hand side of the page and we can provide details for you.

Kernersville Lake Park

Kernersville Lake Park offers laidback recreation in the form of fishing boats and pedal boats for rent.

Horizons Park

Horizons Park has an exceptional 18-hole disc golf course offered to the public at no charge along with mountain bike trails that wind through the woods.

Tanglewood Park

Tanglewood Park, the largest park in our county system, offers plenty of recreation facilities for you and your family! From an Aquatic Center and pedal boats to mountain bike trails and guided horseback riding, Tanglewood can provide you with the perfect afternoon getaway.

Triad Park

Triad Park is home to the county's second Disc Golf course as well as a new amphitheater. Bird walks are also offered at Triad where participants will gain knowledge about the different birds that are in our area.

Union Cross Park

There are several different leagues that play at Union Cross during the spring and fall seasons. These leagues are not organized nor run by the County. Walkertown Community Park

The Walkertown Girls Softball League begins to form in February/March for the spring and in July/August for the fall. This league is not organized nor run by the County.
