Particle pollution concentrations are ranging from the lower Code Green range to the lower Code Yellow range across the Triad while ozone readings hover in the Code Green range. High pressure will continue to build in and drift offshore by Saturday, thereby allowing our surface winds to turn out of the south this weekend. A cold front is slated to sweep through late on Sunday, but much like the last front, not much of the way of rainfall is expected. Particle pollution is expected to continue building within the stagnating air mass and Moderate concentrations are anticipated to remain in place for the balance of the forecast period. Ozone concentrations may push into the upper Code Green range for the next couple of days before additional cloudiness on Sunday further limits ozone production. (Greg Perrotte / perrotgt@forsyth.cc)
