The Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition is a community-wide collaboration coordinated by the Forsyth County Department of Public Health. This coalition works to address a variety of social, economic, and medical issues that contribute to infant deaths. Our vision is that all babies born in Forsyth County will be healthy and thrive, and our mission is to reduce infant mortality by educating the community about how to prevent infant death and advocating for systems and policy changes that support healthy birth outcomes. Forsyth Adolescent Health Coalition is an initiative of concerned professionals, paraprofessionals, and volunteers who work together to implement life skills events and workshops designed to target preteens and teens ages 9-19 years old. FAHC’s goal is to provide resources and education to promote the development of life skills in teens that will allow them to improve their quality of life and prepare them for life after high school. The five key life skills the FAHC focuses on are health and wellness, higher education, career development, financial literacy, and volunteering and service.
This Coalition is open to all community members and membership is FREE. We are always actively looking for partners to collaborate with and teens can also join to receive updates on upcoming events or to volunteer. For additional information, please call (336) 703- 3180
