The North Carolina Minority Diabetes Prevention Program (NC MDPP) is a free, year-long diabetes prevention program. Throughout the program you will learn about healthy eating, meal planning, physical activity and overcoming barriers. Funded by the NC Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities, this program is open to all eligible adults!

The Faithful Family Program offers unique resources and perspectives to connect a community’s faith or religious traditions with messages about long-term health. Program facilitators and Lay Leaders are trained to co-deliver Faithful Families’ Eating Smart and Moving More Lessons, which includes nine sessions on healthy eating and physical activity strategies, including nutrition, meal preparation and cooking, food safety, and increasing daily physical activity.
This program is free of charge and is 9-weeks in length. If you and your community are interested, please reach out to the Community Nutritionist.
