The role of the nursing division at Forsyth County Department of Public Health is to affect the health of our entire community in a positive way. The nursing division fully supports the mission statement of FCDPH.
The dedicated staff is comprised of physician extenders, registered nurses, an LPN, social workers, transportation aides, office assistants, speech and language pathologist, a medical laboratory technologist, an interpreter, and HIV educator.
Everyday the staff of the nursing division is involved in such varied responsibilities as responding to infectious disease outbreaks, working with schools regarding students’ health, promoting healthy mothers and healthy babies, educating about healthy lifestyle choices, preventing communicable diseases, providing immunizations, linking people to resources and many other opportunities to impact the health of our community.
